“A wonderful relaxing experience in a spotlessly clean environment. Has helped myself (asthma), my partner (bronchitis) and my toddler granddaughter (bronchiolitis). Made to feel special each time we have visited.
So lucky to have this therapy in Hove”

Reason for Treatment: Asthma
Since coming to Salt Space we have observed a noticeable reduction in the use of C’s salbutamol.
His night-time cough and wheezing has also dramatically improved. His Hay Fever symptoms have abated too, which I have also linked to his visits to Salt Space. Thank you! 😊

Reason for Treatment: Alleviate the symptoms of pulmonary sarcoidosis.
“I was surprised by how quickly I felt the benefits of salt therapy. After the first couple of sessions, my chest didn’t feel as tight and my sputum had significantly reduced. After the third session, I noticed I was able to take deeper breaths and my energy levels had improved. For the first time in over a year, I have been able to get back on my exercise bike.
I’m so happy that I gave Salt Space a go and recommend you do too!”

“I visited Salt Space because I had a loss of smell and taste, possible sinusitis or rhinitis.
After my 6th session I smelt cigarette smoke and my smell lasted a few hours, after a few more sessions I could smell and taste what I was eating at Christmas! My smell and taste are returning!
Most days now, I can detect smells a few hours after getting up and this lasts until afternoon or early evening. There are still occasional setbacks, but it is hugely reassuring that I am recovering this sense, and I’m sure it will continue to improve with this breakthrough.
I’m really delighted!”

Reason for treatment: Unbearable cough for 3 years and frequent chest infections
“A work colleague told me about Salt Space so I thought I’d give it a try. I felt improvement almost straight away – the cough has now completely gone and my sleeping pattern has improved.
Chest infections are much less frequent (when I started at Salt Space in July I had already had two infections that year) and don’t seem nearly as bad as before, and if I do cough it doesn’t hurt now.
When I started I also had a very itchy rash all over my body, I’d been to the doctor and had antibiotics for it, but they didn’t help. The rash is now down to a few small places and it no longer itches – amazing!
I’d recommend it to anybody – which I have done!”

“I was diagnosed with COPD and long-term psoriasis. I attended Salt Space originally for the COPD, found the whole experience very soothing and restful and got great relief from congestion and breathing difficulties. It was only after a couple of weeks that I noticed that the long term psoriasis patches on my elbows had virtually disappeared. What a bonus!
I have been waxing lyrical about it ever since. This has been one of the most rewarding pieces of therapy I have ever experienced.”

“I have known about speleotherapy* for over 20 years and was delighted to find Salt Space! I treated my chronic bronchitis and sinusitis in the underground hospital inside the salt mine in the Ukraine when I was 19, and my 12-year-old brother very successfully treated his asthma there. My son Lucas had a persistent cough and blocked nose, he also had frequent throat and sinus infections since he was a baby. We first brought him in when he had a nose and throat infection – it cleared much faster than usual and he was completely recovered in a few days, whereas previously his recovery time would be much longer.
This winter Lucas has had hardly any colds or infections and we think this is due to us now using Salt Space as a preventive. It has really worked for Lucas as it did for me and my brother!”

“I suffer from Bronchiectasis which means I coughed a lot and was frequently out of breath. I heard about Salt Space from my local Breatheasy group and thought I’d give it a go. My regular visits to Salt Space have really helped me manage my symptoms and given me a lot more zest for life. I’m now enjoying doing things I used to do before, but that I thought I’d never be able to do again – like travelling and playing golf.
In fact, I’m now off on my holidays for a month to play golf and enjoy some sun! In April I had my first attack of Bronchiectasis this year, which is a longer gap than ever before and the attack lasted just 1 week, instead of the usual 3. The number of attacks I get has reduced and the amount of antibiotics I’ve had to take has halved. I’m sure this is due to my visits to Salt Space.
Everyone comments about how well I look and I certainly feel much better now – as the kids say,
I’ve got my mojo back!”
